and working on life skills in a supportive

involvement and have access to social services
when needed. The staff works closely with
parents and other resources to help students
succeed. Mission
The mission of Blackbear Bosin Academy, an
alternative school for seventh, eighth and ninth
grade students, is to ensure that all students
learn the skills and acquire the knowledge
necessary for entrance into high school and for
success at continuing stages of their lives by
providing a safe, supportive, nurturing
environment with reduced class size, a strong
mentoring/tutoring program, opportunity to
participate in community service and highly
